without Westbrook, Durant gets triple teamed. With rondo on OKC, durant would get quadruple teamed.

Westbrook is Durant's best friend, and gives the Thunder a much needed "edge" and energy.  I don't think there's any chance he gets traded.
Yep.  No chance.  I mean look at how bad offensively OKC was after Westbrook went down.  They need his offense, something Rondo wouldn't provide them.

Yes, because the Celts offense in the playoffs looked *super* without Rondo.

Kind of the way KG always gets wide open shots when Rondo's out but he's closely covered when Rondo plays. Right?

not happening,  don't see a huge advantage for Celtics ,  rather concentrate on bigs , we got some decent guards.   not a westbrooke fan anyhow.......he should stay on OKC

.....what does that have to do with the topic at hand? Okay, Tim, we get it. Yes, the Celtics offense is better when Rondo is playing point guard as opposed to having no one play point guard.

I doubt that is true, Rondo is a capable scorer but prefer to rack up assists. His jumpshots has improved every year and he is a definitely a capable slasher. Maybe not as explosive as Westbrook but at least Rondo gets the job done. He also is able to make players around him better. With Pierce and KG declining, he still makes them look good at this age.

Westbrook is better and healthier than Rondo and the OKC team with Westbrook just came off one of the most dominant regular seasons in NBA history and were unfortunately derailed in the playoffs by a fluke injury.  Why would they re-organize a dominant, young team for an inferior player?  No way.

Much of what you said simply isn't true...westbrook isn't healthier and to say the thunder had one of the most dominant regular seasons in NBA history is simply laughable..a team has 60 wins every year.

No, you don't get it. People frequently claim that players that you put on the court with Rondo would have trouble scoring because they'd never get open because teams don't cover Rondo. He pretty much disproves that theory every time he steps onto the court.

How is he not healthier?  Westbrook had never missed a game in his career before his unlucky injury and the injury he sustained was much less severe than Rondo's.  Westbrook is guaranteed to start next season on time.  Rondo isn't.

As for their dominance, their point differential was 9.2 in a much stronger conference.  That's one of the top 20 point differentials of all time.  The 86 Celtics' point differential was 9.4.  OKC finished 1st on offense and 4th on defense.  They did all this while being young with their best players still not in their prime.  Why would they one of their top two players who they know they can dominate with for an inferior player?  They wouldn't.

Yuck, no way.

I'd rather have Rondo than Westchuk.  Not a fan. At all.
