2015 first rounder. I was hoping for 2014 but oh well. Maybe by 2015 they will have Howard and they will be terrible.

 Doc is so Overrated.

I am glad it is a 2015 pick. This gives Doc time to make them mediocre.

NBA has come full circle when a coach will prefer the Clippers to the Celtics.

Doc is so overrated the Clippers only gave up a future pick for him to assuage their star free agent PG.

I guess there may be many reasons that his players seem to love him and want to play for him.  But I would bet that one of the reasons that guys like KG and Pierce want to end their careers with him is that he's actually a good coach.

I'm glad DA got a 1st for him, but I'll miss Doc -- in the mix for the 2nd best head coach in C's history.

This is how I feel as well. TP. Though I wouldn't label Doc the best Celts coach he's up there.

This fan base honesty has zero respect for the guys who brought it back. "good riddance Dick Rivers" "good riddance KG" "Trade rondo for a draft pick" "Paul Pierce was/is overrated" etc...I get that we all want to move onto a younger more athletic team.

I'm sick of it. We deserve nothing better than Antoine Walker as our head coach next year

I thank Doc for everything he has done for the Celtics, but I think I can move on easily than moving on from KG if he left.

Doc is a great leader and motivator, but the last couple season soured on me. Not playing our bigs and relying too much on Pierce Iso plays.

I will miss him though.

Thank you Doc, I always like his humanity and his old fashion communication in the locker room.
I must admit the last 2 years I stop believing on his systems. NBA is different now, time to move on to the next generation of basketball like OKC and Miami do.

The first domino has fallen, I can't wait to see Danny's next move and what is his plan before and after 1st July.
I'm sure we'll have some entertaining offensive basketball in Boston.

Didn't Tommy Heinson and KC Jones won more banners than Doc?

Normally I agree with your posts but depending on health and what we get for pierce and kg we could be relevant this year. Although I don't mind tanking for a chance at wiggins.

DA is a pro at stocking assets and he saw a team with a core of hibbert, a 23 year old Paul George and David west take Miami to 7.

If pierce really nets a trade exception then there are plenty of free agents available on the sane tier as those Indiana guys to add to a team of rondo, green, and potentially Jordan. Lets say we got big al for a TE.

You don't think a starting lineup of rondo, Bradley, green, big al, and Jordan could give Miami trouble? Then sully, bass, terry, lee, our rookie this year and 1-2 clipper picks plus maybe another pick acquired for pierce to be utilized in one form or another as depth.

I can easily see us relevant next year or waiting a year for wiggins. No way Ainge and ownership let us suck for more then a year with rondo and green on bargain deals.

pretty much, Reports are that Stern and the NBA front office stand firm that a future KG to the Clippers trade would be in violation of NBA rules.

I do not think doc will accept not being able to coach kg

They'll find a way.
