First step

Next will be jordan for kg

Then the Celtics will buy out pierce this week
if that happened, Danny should be fired.  KG for Jordan is robbery by the Clips.

I hope not! I hope they trade Pierce for something, that trade exception from the Cavs or the 13th pick from the Mavs.

Yep. Good call on the 2014 or unprotected 2015, too.

The Doc point mentioned earlier is a good one though. Let's hope he was bluffing the Clippers with his "no longer interested" statement to get the ball rolling. Otherwise I'm jumping out my window if this doesn't get done cause of Doc after two weeks of it not getting done cause of the Clippers.

If it does happen it'll have to be soon, though.

Haha. TP for the pic.

I'd be okay if this is a pick from this year's draft.

We could get somebody like Withey or Noqueira with the #25.

It really needs to be 2014 unprotected.

Firstly, since this will be the first of several deals this summer, Danny needs to hold firm.

Secondly, once we have their unprotected pick for 2014, it makes KG that much more valuable to the Clippers, and should cause them to relent on that trade as well.

I feel like this time it will happen and it will be a domino effect.  First Doc, then KG(hopefully for more than just Jordan), then something with Pierce.  Throw in the draft and the search for a new coach and we've got some interesting days ahead.
Mock Deadline Denver Nuggets
Nurcic/Henson
Patterson/Bennett/Arthur
Ross/Budinger
Miller/Hunter/Foye
Rubio/Ennis/Bayless

I would be totally disappointed if its from this year's draft.

If Doc is already in LA..it will be much easier to trade KG on draft night for say DeAndre and the 25th pick. It would be tough for the league to deny that in the middle of the draft

Do this deal, and trade KG and PP somewhere else. Doc betrayed us, so screw him. Clips have been trying to rob us, so screw them too.

Honestly, I think the "weak draft" / "strong draft" thing is overrated.

It makes a big difference if you're picking in the top 5, less so in the top 10, and very little difference outside of that.

This draft is actually quite deep when you're talking about the 20-40 range.  A #25 in this draft might actually be better than a #28 or #29 in next year's draft.

I'm hoping that Brian Shaw becomes the new head coach of the Boston Celtics now that this fiasco is over...

TP - I totally agree. Obviously some drafts are deeper than others, but unless we are getting Wiggins or Parker, it doesn't really matter to me what year its from.

The biggest problem with it being this year's pick is that it's one less first rounder for trade in the future...like it or not, once that name is called for the Celtics, the player becomes less valuable than the unknown pick.

I sure as heck hope not.  He is a bigger traitor than Ray.

NBA source said #clippers have offered 2014 first-round pick to #celtics for Rivers. Great draft. Low pick
