If we really wanted to screw them over, we could give them Doc for 2 1sts, and then...NOT trade them KG or Pierce.

So, they'd have to take on whatever Doc's contract would be, Chris Paul would still leave, and they wouldn't get KG/PP and we could get a package for them that isn't a piece of Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. I'm not sure there is one.  The media reports on this trade are almost all clearly based on leaks from the Clippers side and seem to reflect real dysfunction in that organization.  They don't look like they have any idea what they're really doing.

If the rumors are true and Doc would have more of a say in personnel decisions with the Clippers, I don't think we can take any offer they make for Celtics players seriously until Doc is actually part of the Clippers.

that's a good point.

get them to give us a pick to let doc go there, and then we'll negotiate with doc to work out a trade for KG.

then the deals are truly separate since we're dealing with a different person.

The problem with waiting is the eventual contract. How much would they be able to pay Pierce as a free agent?
