@SpearsNBAYahoo 4s

Celtics Danny Ainge and Doc Rivers have scheduled a joint presser at noon EST.

Well here we go finally.  Seems to suggest the Clips deal isn't happening (we'll see).  But I would be happy to get some real talk hopefully out of this.

I would say there is a decent chance that we learn absolutely nothing from this press conference.

I wouldn't be surprised if they say that they explored something with the Clippers, which didn't happen.  And as of now, they are going forward with Doc as their coach.

Guess KG is retiring then ?
I doubt that is what this about otherwise wouldn't KG be there?

What they will say is beyond me though.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I was assuming the press conference was Doc stepping down as coach . Then KG would retire

Yup.

And it likely won't preclude a future move if Stern can be mollified.

Whatever they say, let's not believe a word of it.

It's always better to trust un-named sources in these types of situations.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I think there's also a good chance that this press conference has an intended audience of exactly one person: David Stern.

Spot on, on both accounts.
Plus mention that they talk with teams from time to time about potential trades, but that they are focused "100%" on the upcoming draft, etc, etc.
Celtics fan for life.

Yup.

But if this is like the Paul to the Lakers situation, Stern's interference might just be the death of the whole deal.

We will see though.

After seeing how the cHeat abit struggled to get past the old Spurs...The presser will be about their decision to run it back since Rondo is going to dominate this coming season with Green developing to a Kawhi Lenard role...PP our Ginobili, KG will destroy Bosh and AB is going to be one heck of a triple threat with voracious defence to boot.... So Yeah, i think the presser will about running it back ;)

Agreed.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see this turn into damage control doubletalk.

I think the death of the whole deal might still be on the Clippers end.  I am not convinced Sterling has any interest in the deal.

It almost has to be.  I mean, with all that has been going on, they need to address it.  But, it seems pretty clear that everything that is going on has not ended yet.

I will lay dollars to doughnuts that the words "Kevin Garnett" are not uttered once in the initial statements.

And, when someone asks about KG, that Danny will say "Doc's situation and KG's are NOT RELATED AT ALL."
