I rooted against the Heat all year but I can't get mad at Ray.  He clearly made the right decision for his career and made the biggest shot of the season in the process.  Good for him.

I don't think it was a good career decision.  Leaving the Celtics to go ring chasing with the Heat hurts his legacy more than it helps it.

Maybe...until he hit that shot in game 6

That's my opinion.  You ever notice how nobody gushes over what a class act he is anymore?
They still do on ESPN. And if KG goes to another team will you hold it against him too?

KG already proved his loyalty by signing a new contract and trying to run it back at another shot at a championship. He has not trashed the Celtics and didn't leave to join the enemy for half as much money as the Cs were offering. Ray is a joke - I guess he gets credit for hitting one shot, but he was terrible tonight - as one would expect for him in a crucial game 7.

Yup. He wouldn't have been hitting that shot for us, so I can't fault him for choosing another destination in free agency.

I'm laughing at him for going scoreless in Game 7. Looks like he took Game 7 too lightly.

Lol. Nicely done. I'd have no issue with Ray if he really just moved on and stopped throwing the C's under the bus at every opportunity.

Ray's like that ex girlfriend/boyfriend who breaks up with you because they claim they want more and then they actually start to do kind of well for themselves, but they just can't stop talking about you or your former relationship because deep down they still want you.

Well, He's laughing at all of us right now.

Sure is

I seriously doubt Internet posters are even crossing Ray Allen's mind at this moment.

KAWHI LEONARD blew the finals in game 6 by missing that FT. if he makes it it does not matter one iota that TRAITOR SCUMBAG PIECE OF GARBAGE LEECH RAY ALLEN makes a 3 pointer. the spurs blew it. and yes i hate the heat and am physically sick right now.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

I don't like Ray for leaving, but if people actually think he still cares about his "legacy" you're mistaken. He will always be remembered now for making one of the most important shots for the Heat franchise in the Finals. He has a 2nd ring and can officially put Boston behind him.

Especially with the mess that going on right now, do you really think he's longing to be here....NO!

If he goes to anybody other than the Heat, I'll hold it against him less.

I'm more peeved by the fact that this game wouldn't have happened if he hadn't hit that 3 off (Lebron, too) off that offensive rebound(s). Awful.

Lebron's smug, punk affect when he took the MVP trophy was gross too. "I'm not even supposed to be here," says he who won the genetic sweepstakes more so than any other man to every play the game... and he who had "CHOSEN 1" tattooed across his back.

A lot of you don't get it, on the Heat, Ray's role is that of Robert Horry. And in game 6, that's exactly what he delivered, the clutch 3 to send it into overtime. That's Horry's career long signature play, team after team.

In Boston, however, he's suppose to be a part of some 'Big 3' consortium, which he clearly wasn't especially last season. Thus, him leaving makes sense. When one's past his prime, there's no point in hanging around, just to try to fit into some role which one isn't suited for. There was little left for Ray to do in Boston. He's a limited 3 pt specialist, who can play, at most some 15-20 minutes per contest.

doc made him our 6th man just like he was on the heat. avery bradley was starting and our new big 3 included rondo.
