I dont see why none of you guys are seeing this as a steal. Jordan right now is a too Top 10 center in the league, any team in the league would trade KG for jordan if they were in our situation. Jordan is going to flourish with rondo because lets face it, jordan got no looks by cp3 everything was to Blake, he was arguably the 4th option on the clippers, Ok this is not getting dwight Howard, but the guy is 25 years old, look at Roy hibbert he was not looked upon as a top 5 center probably not even top 10 a year ago, he worked on his game and finally used his talents. Jordan yes for 10 million might not be very valuable at the moment, but we haven't even gotten to see him play with who is THE BEST FAST BREAK POINT GUARD IN THE LEAGUE, we have yet to see rondo play with players who run with him, just wait and see Jordan running the break with Rondo and Jeff green, and its going to happen alot with the defense we have set in place with rondo green ab and now Jordan who is a very athletic defender, just is still young in his learning process. KG would have been getting paid 12 mill(around there) this year and next year , which is more expensive than Jordan in which KG would not play anywhere near as many minutes as Jordan is going to be playing, ALSO nobody would trade for KG at the end of this year , in flip side if we are not happy with Jordan EVERYONE would love to trade for Jordan next year.

Not to mention i Danny Ainge using this as just one stepping stone of this offseason, i see him trying to trade Paul pierce for a shooter or use him in a package for josh Smith. I see our team having 2 first rounders this year and next year, with a team that will make the playoffs and that no team in the playoffs will want to play us because of our overwhelming talent. Just need to add shooters. But once again this is only a stepping stone and you guys are really overlooking how good rondo is going to be with these guys, especially if we get josh smith. Josh Smith is a baby lebron. But we can talk about him when we are rumored to get him.

Howard, Gasol, Gasol, Bynum, KG, Tim Duncan, Lopez, Cousins, Noah, Horford, Chandler, Hibbert, Bogut, Sanders.

14 centers who without a doubt are better than him.

The remaining Centers are all arguably better than him.

Imo Jordan is is prob top 5 worst starting center in the league.

Sure you can project him being better than a retired KG and Duncan in a couple years but then you have tonaccount for guys like Drummond, Nicholson, Noel and other young guys

I like Jordan actually.  But he's pretty bad at basketball right now.  A lot depends on how he grows over the next few years.  Meanwhile let's try and name one starting center worse than Jordan.  Perkins? Biyombo? I can't think of another.
CelticsBlog DKC Pelicans
J. Lin/I. Canaan/N. Wolters
E. Gordon/A. Shved
N. Batum/A. Roberson
A. Davis/K. Olynyk/M. Scott
D. Cousins/A. Baynes/V. Faverani
Rights: A. Abrines, R. Neto, L. Jean-Charles  Coach: M. Williams

Your a joke, id take jordan over Bogut, over sanders, over Lopez , pau gasol is not a center, KG plays 20minutes a game, and is 37 years old, Duncan is retiring this year, Bynum missed ALL OF LAST YEAR, has NOT PLAYED ONE FULL YEAR,  jordan is clearly better than Drummond  and Nicholson and Noel(coming off ACL) havent even played in the league, for you to even make that post your a joke, Everyone on this board was so mad the celtics traded perkins and i would take Jordan > perkins any day of the week, KG made perkins the defender he was sought out to be, Perkins makes 8million a year Jordan makes 10. My point is We are getting the center we need and want and HE IS TOP 10 Center. For everyone on this board in anyway thinking we are getting the short side of this trade is a joke, the Celtics are giving away a player who is Retiring after this year and a Coach that makes 7 mill a year and doesnt want to coach this team when KG leaves. End of story this is a STEAL.

True. Jordan is not that good. But this is DA choice. For me is not worthy to move KG.

There are two maybe 3 Centers in this league who are game changers besides them this league is an uptempo league, Jordan is exactly what we need. We dont need KG with this team we have not what we could have. Danny Ainge see's this team will thrive with an uptempo offense, Jeff green Rondo AB and now Jordan all Are one of the best at getting up and down the court at their position while playing good defense. Danny sees this.

Rondo , best fast break PG in the league.
AB thrives with rondo on the fast break( thats why doc started him( also d) he runs with rondo well.
Jeff green , aside from Lebron and Iggy and id throw Paul George in there, Jeff green is top 5 in fast break.
Jordan aside from Howard. And McGee, is the best Fast Break Center.

All of those players, Also play good-Great defense.

You must really like Slam Dunks  :)

KG still averaged 5 more minutes a game than Jordan last year.

Yeah the real game to play is how many Centers are worst than DJ. Not many.

I mean isn't Chris freaking Andersen about as good as DJ?

I will be laughing at every poster on here saying this was a great deal, Danny Ainge is a great GM. He knows what hes doing.

Larry sanders doesnt play center and is 6'8 yes i would take 6'11 jordan who plays exactly like sanders  but better, and brook Lopez has already reached his ceiling, would much rather jordan.
