I havent heard any news relating to (well except for Vinny Del Negro - which I hope is a cruel joke) the successor of Doc's throne. My guess is its Armond Hill.

Too quiet for anybody outside to be gunning for the coach's position.

Wouldn't it be cool if Phil Jackson makes a shocking return to coach the Celtics?  ;D

Whoever is hired will be hired with the understanding that his/her priority is to develop young talent and lose as many games as possible.  That's what Doc did in 2007.  Some coaches would have tried to win every game... but Doc did what Danny asked of him and intentionally threw games late since winning was meaningless in that situation.

I guess if you are going to tank .....its easier with a terrible coach .... no use wasting money on great coaches who don't want to be here in the first place,  so you grab cheapie coach and run through them for 15 years ( hire and fire ) like the NETS ,  till finally the lottery pans out your way you get a TRUE alstar player to content with and then spend for a decent coach. Oh well.

Maybe Vinnie is the perfect tanking coach,   expendable for the tanking process ,  get a good team together and then   "STEAL" a serious coach from another team facing tanking.

Christ ...this sounds just like the CLipppers.....uggghh

I guess MDA is the Lakers tanking coach.

You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
