Would it be likely that the team with the #1 or #2 overall pick would trade for our #4 + Whoever we draft this year + Melo + Whatever picks we land for Pierce and KG?

I'm thinking that wa the initial purpose anyway to pile up so many picks

Or Ainge is planning on doing something similar to 07 draft when he flipped the 5th pick?

No. A team isn't going to pass on drafting Wiggins or Parker for the 4th pick and a pupu platter of other picks.

With how huge that draft is, if you tank you either draft a superstar with a top two pick ... Or you draft a potential allstar with a top 5... Or you use it as an asset to trade for a disgruntled allstar like Kevin love

like others said, the top 2 picks will be certified superstars, and probably the next 8 picks or so will be potential stars.

it will be one of, if not the best draft ever

Yeah, a top 10 pick in next year's draft will be a great asset, no matter what you do with it.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Id say Rondo and the #4 may get you the 2nd pick.
Or Rondo, Sully and the 4th.
Problem is its like hypothetically trading the future Lebron James for Rondo and the 4th.

Even if it is the 4th or 3rd pick, julius Randle is possibly available among others.
I would do anything to get Jabari Parker. I think he'll be better than Wiggins in the end.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
