Manu has said he will play one more year. Then retire.
I keep seeing Manu quotes where he says he has no clue what he will do.

That was a recent one. Earlier in the playoffs I think it was.

Edit: No, I got wrong. I looked it up and Ginobili was less sure about that than I had remembered. It was just an idea. Not a firm plan.

Parker did as much of a bad job tonight.  In my opinion more costly because it was down the stretch.  Trying to play hero ball on three different important possessions is wrong.  Just wrong.

u right but I think Tony only got bad at the end because he was tired. Manu sucked the whole game and all series minus game 5

They have got to a point where it ins't a sure thing every night .   SOmenights its the old superstar and others they just shouldn't be out there.

Ginobili looked TIRED and SLOW and RUN DOWN...... low energy,  no moving without the ball .....is so critical for SPurs to get the open looks..

Hopefully more Spurs will have it together for game 7

Manu reminded me somewhat of PP in the NYK series this year.  Just loosing the handle too much, not being strong enough with the ball, spraying bad passes all over the place.  It is like he forgets how fast Wade and LBJ are, and doesn't compensate for it.

I saw the same thing with PP in the playoffs this year.  Too slow with the ball, not anticipating the defender stepping in the passing lane, lazy airhead passes.

All that said, I like Manu, and he has had a great player.  But father time always wins...
agree completely tp
when manu does retire is he the best argentinian basketball player ever?

Pierce is light years better than Manu.

Well to me, PP's 32 turnovers in the NYK series was pretty similar to what I saw from Manu last night.

duh
manu plays less minutes and comes off the bench

give me those on per36. and then realize that Paul is the #1 option and Manu is the #3 option....it's actually kind of a bad look on Paul.

oh and then the fact that manu played 17 games less than PP

OH!!! and also, Paul Pierce had a first round exit while Manu is playing for the 'ship. so that...

God please stop comparing Manu to Pierce

Its like comparing Bosh to Garnett or kevin Martin to Ray Allen

It just doesn't add up unless you tweak a tiny arguement and just run with it

my initial comparison to Paul Pierce was the nasty amount of turnovers and types of turnovers he had in the season/post-season. but celtics fans have this odd way of trying to steal the Spurs shine by comparing their players, as if they're as good or better.

i mean, but if critics want to compare MJ to LBJ, I think pretty much anything is comparable. as I don't and never have seen that comparison

He had the same problem handling the ball as Manu.  They are both getting long in the tooth, and will both be retired in a year or two.
