Ainge doesn't want to get a bad deal obviously. And I bet he dislikes where the Clips negotiations have gone as much as the rest of us to be honest. But the bottom line is that this is all happening because Ainge has decided to blow up this version of the team, and I think at this point he somewhat overplayed his hand with that and has possibly lost some leverage because of it. If not, Ainge could have ran it back with Doc, Pierce, KG, etc. There has been no inkling that any of them would have been upset with that scenario. Personally, with the way the Clips have pulled assets off the table, I would walk away from the current deal because I think Deandre Jordan is more of a hindrance than a help to rebuilding, but Ainge might feel like he has to make a deal rather than be stuck not being able to blow it up.
