Am I missing something here? That Blake and Bledsoe Rumor for Dwight seems stupid. Banged up Howard with his attitude problems and Back issues. And 37 year old Garnett as your two bigs, with Paul and Crawford. I don't like that team. Anybody think that team can contend for a title. I don't.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

It would actually be a phenomenal front court. What I would give for this front court lol.
KG is a little older so he wouldn't be as effective from range but basically he'd pull double teams on Howard out of the paint and basically stand around 15 feet so Howard can go to work.If they try and double Howard he is basically a better shooting version of Gasol who rebounds better but passes on par or slightly less effectively. Defensively though the upgrade is just scary... they'd be unstoppable. You're talking about the two most dominant defensive big men of the last 10 years in the NBA.
KG is getting on, but they'd be a brutal tandem to score on in the paint- just think of how they'd alter shots. Indiana caused Miami to struggle with just Hibbert. Only way you'd score points is from range, you'd have to load up 3 point shooters and hope their perimeter defense isn't up to par, but with CP3, Afflalo or Granger and Pierce, their only real weakness is Pierce on the defensive end.
Imagine if they had Odom coming in behind those two.
Very solid big rotation. Probably better overall than Memphis line up of Gasol, Randolph and Speights last year, and stronger than Gasol, Howard and the lakers big man back up (with dreads? can't remember name).

Howard and Garnett= the scariest duo in the NBA.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Insane front court.

Deandre Jordan is one of the worst Centers in the NBA

Howard and Garnett= the scariest duo in the NBA.

The future's scariest duo, you mean.

The scariest duos I think would still be:
Hakeem and Ralph Sampson
Duncan and Robinson
Parish and Bill Walton

I think if anyone is a stretch four it is KG with his jumpers.  I think it would work very well provided they both are healthy.  One plays inside and one plays out.  They won't interfere with each other's game.   They both block shots and have length.

Sure it would work.

I would want a younger big man for the third guy though.

It's almost an ideal front court.

Only issue is that you KG might struggle a lot more with stretch type 4s than he used to.

But given that he's been his best in limited stretches you sub him first after 5/6 minutes and then use him as your backup C when you rest Howard.

Agreed.  For the Clips, it would be all about finding a competent backup PF.  Assuming they use the MLE on Pierce, I wonder who they'll grab?  Maybe Odom on a reduced contract?

It's an ideal front court on paper only, as KG has no respect for Howard.

http://redsarmy.com/2012/08/10/kgs-taunting-of-dwight-howard-is-hysterical/

Howard - "Sup KG?"
KG - "PAINT YOUR FACE, CLOWN!!"

If you went by this standard (i.e., KG can't play with somebody that he has viciously trash-talked), you could argue that KG wouldn't fit in as a teammate with any player in the league.

KG wasn't a Perk fan until he was traded to Boston.

And KG is right, Dwight is a clown.  But he's a talented clown and if they were on the same team, he'd be KG's talented clown.

I mean out of all current NBA players, they would be the scariest duo in the NBA.

And Duncan and Robinson were good but they got schooled by the Lakers a few times. (Shaq and Kobe)

Scariest front courts of all time?

Shaq and Russell
KG and Chamberlain
Duncan and Olajuwan
Deandre Jordan and Fab Melo.(psyche!)
