This Clippers Celtics deal happens, and KG retires before even playing 1 game for the Clippers.

Leaving Doc in the dust to coach the almighty Clippers.

This whole situation triggered a wide range of emotion for me, at first I was angry, then I was sad, then I was frustrated, then I was happy, now I'm just delusional.

Whatever happens, I will always love the Celtics, and KG and PP.

Doc can eat my shorts.

Just a random 4 am thought.

He can't retire per se. But he can just be suffering from a lingering ailment (wink wink bone spurs)
Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

Why can't he retire?

And haha, true, he can be out for the rest of the season. LOL

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Im torn on this.

On one hand I believe Doc never really said he wants out of Boston and would rather coach LA. But on the other he made a commitment that he'll stick even in the rebuilding stage. So I'm torn. I don't think he betrayed us, but he did broke a promise. If anyone gets it?

I don't know which Doc I'm siding to. But yes, It'll be funny if KG just left Doc there with possibly no Chris Paul to boot.

Unfortunately right now, everything is just hear say.
For all we know, the Clips and the Celts are not even talking.
Hopefully we find out sooner than later, so we can move on from this.

I'm basing that of WEEI Podcast.

I heard from that show that the reason it went sour is because Doc wanted to run it, with the same crew, one more time but Danny wants to rebuild.

If this is true, that's where I'm torn. A lot of people are hating on Doc, but if these are facts, I can't blame him for being loyal and trusting to KG, Paul and the rest of his team being the reason as to why he lost interest in coaching. He believes there's still a window there but Danny doesn't, and that's conflicting interest. I don't know how the Clippers got into the picture but it did.

But then again, he did say that he's willing to stay and signed a 5 year contract knowing that at some point of that tenure, the Celtics will rebuild, so in a way this is him not honoring his promise.

I'm completely torn on Doc right now.
