I thought this was the trade that's been discussed all day? And the Clips refuse to take on Lee's or Terry's contract?

Pretty much what Roy said. Nothing in the package excites or really looks appetizing but Danny is in a tough spot. After all this business out in the open, a move almost has to be made. I really think this getting out in the public so much, it really hurt Boston's leverage.

At least we keep Pierce and Butler is certainly not useless. I can see Buter being attractive to a contending team (feels weird to be thinking of it from this side now).

Butler's $8m expiring can be packaged with another piece and potentially flipped to another team. Maybe after ATL whiffs on Cp3 and Dwight, they'd consider Butler + Lee (presuming Terry goes to the Clips) + a pick for Josh Smith as opposed to letting him walkto Houston or Dallas for nothing. They'd essentially get Lee + a pick and the flexibility to try free agency again in '14.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

It actually costs us money this year, which I don't care about but maybe ownership/Danny might. I guess that probably won't matter when they deal Pierce.

I'm fine with this deal.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

It doesn't cost money if it's AND and not OR.

Maybe we can get Josh Smith with flexible cap if we dump some contracts!

Yuck.  It's gonna be a bad year to watch the Celtics.  We really aren't getting young exciting prospects, we lose KG and get the old fart Butler.  At least on the Al Jefferson/Gerald Green teams we had lot of young exciting prospects with potential.

I think it's a fair offer.

Would rather have Bledose included but if the Clippers take Terry's contract, then I am fine with it.

They are so stupid not to take it. I'm not thrilled by it.
