Houston wants cap relief for a run at Dwight Howard, the clippers aren't going to be able to get him if they take on KG. Dwight would probably like a tandem of him and Harden + pieces.

Here's the deal!

Boston sends Doc, Garnett, Terry, Bass to Clippers.

Boston also sends Pierce to Houston who will buy him out so he can go to Clippers.

Boston in: Jordan, Butler, Thomas Robinson, 2014 pick from Clippers, 2013 pick from Houston and maybe another pick if I can be greedy.

I don't think the Clips are going to do a deal that helps Houston get Dwight Howard.

I think the other shoe to fall in all of this is Griffin to the Lakers for S&T Howard although to be honest, I don't understand for sure that the Lakers can do this with their salary level?

It can be two separate deals that LAC never has to sign off on.

This is a great rebuilding idea. I'd love to flip Pierce for Thomas Robinson and maybe Patrick Beverley.

With all due respect, I don't think any team with Rajon Rondo can do poorly enough to truly "tank" for Wiggins.  Rondo + any 4 get us the 8 seed, IMO.

I definitely agree with getting Thomas Robinson. Opportunities like these are hard to come by and Ainge absolutely needs to take advantage of it.
