Hypothetical Clippers Situation: Dun Dun Dun!

Let's say the Celtics/Clippers trade goes through. KG and Doc are on the Clippers. Let's also say that we buyout Pierce or something - and he ends up on the Clippers.


Then the Clippers announce that they are interested in signing Ray Allen.

What does KG/Doc/Pierce do/say? If the Clippers ignore them and get Ray anyway, what happens in the locker room?

I don't think Ray is going to leave Miami.

But if he did leave Miami, I think KG and Pierce would love to play with Ray again. I believe they'd give their full support to signing Ray Allen and would actively recruit him to join the Clippers.

I don't think it would be a good move though. The Clippers already have Jamal Crawford as their backup two guard and Ray is too old, slow and vulnerable defensively to be what the Clips need in that starting unit. But I reckon they would sign him anyway out of the false belief that he is what they need.
