I really can't think of any contenders or even good teams that could use Pierces skills at this age. Most good teams have an established SF already. Durant, Deng, P George, Any ideas if we trade him where he could go TP's for anything solid.

Clippers and Mavericks seem to most sensible.

Brooklyn could work too with Gerald Wallace sliding over to the PF spot (Humphries + first). I think Miami could do the same thing with LeBron James (role player contracts + two firsts?). New York could offer up Amare Stoudemire.

Memphis Grizzlies might be interested in moving Z-Randolph's contract out for Pierce's expiring deal. Give them a perimeter scorer to go alongside Marc Gasol and Conley in the short term. Cap flexibility in the medium to long term. Opportunity to move (prized?) Ed Davis into the starting lineup.

The LA Lakers for Pau Gasol makes some sense too.

I really like the Memphis idea. The scary thing is I can actually see Memphis doing that which would be great for the Celts.

It be nice to have a legit big in Randolph. If they go that route, I wouldn't even deal KG/Doc as I think that would be a heck of a contender.

Maybe you should think about non-contenders that might be interested in giving up assets to move a bad contract for Pierce's partially-guaranteed and expiring contract.

I think it might make more sense for the Nets to try to unload Wallace and keep Humphries.  Can they give you enough to make you willing to take Crash back?

I don't think Kris Humphries makes any sense at all next to Brook Lopez. I really hate those two as a big man pairing. Wrong fit offensively and defensively. Bad pairing.

Emm ... Gerald Wallace. No, I don't think the Nets have enough assets to make that make sense for Boston. I would rather just let Pierce expire and try to take advantage of the cap flexibility.

But it makes a lot of sense for the Nets to get rid of Wallace's contract the first chance they get.

What if they offered Wallace and Humphries for Pierce and Bass as the kernel of the deal, with the other players and picks involved to be the subject of negotiation?  If you could find a third team to take Humphries, how much would you need back to make the deal interesting?

How about Boston?
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Sounds like a good Plan A.
