I think the Cavs would totally give us Noel for Fab Melo and Jason Terry...

Oh wait, no I don't. They would probably balk at trading #1 for Rondo, let alone our spare change.

I think you missed the point of this thread in an amazing, almost wonderful way. If confusion were an art, you would be a Picasso, a Rembrandt.

Well, if the point of your thread is to just to dream of players we can't possibly have, you'd might as well just make a thread about LeBron coming to Boston.

"The Cavs have been talking to teams for weeks about a trade, but they are finding a limited market and at this point are likely to keep the pick."

OK, so why not offer a package based around PP and picks, including the 2015 from the Clips?

I don't think Noel is that much of an upgrade over people who will probably be available, like Dieng, at the 16. Besides, Cavs offered two second rounders for pierce. People know we are trying to unload his contract through a sign-n-trade and only a couple people have the cap space to do that without giving us salary right back. Cavs would never take a package with PP as the centerpiece for #1.

And we shouldn't include our extra draft picks anyway. Who knows what we will get for them down the road. We would essentially be gambling that the difference in talent between Noel and our #16 pick would be greater than the return on our future first round picks.

And please DO NOT trade Jeff Green. He's blossoming.

Although defense is incredibly important, it's equally important that you be able to score and hit outside shots in the league.  The spurs and heat were both good defensively, but they were both also really good offensively.  Rondo, Bradley, Noel would be great defensively, but we'd struggle way too much offensively.
do it

No is very skinny at 206 lbs.   and will likely cast aside like a feather in the wind.
