  • You say when......
It s pretty disgusting and typical of non-leadership here.....He cannot make up his mind...he won't coach unless he gets allstars......give me a BREAK....at some point you realize WHY things were and went the way they did...all the while seeing what popovich did with similar circumstances......leadership, decisive action.....THIS..is NOT leadership.

yeah. And whats more dumb is how Danny and Wyc is sitting in their chairs praying Doc comesback.

You see how popovich has rebuilt his team on the side on top of contending?? Without their big three, i doubt he leaves and finds a way for SA to just keep trucking.

Rivers on the other hand pulls a pierce. If you don't give me an all star cast, i'm out of here. I'm too good for this crap. No offense Jeff Green, Rondo, Bradley

His ego must be big..or he thinks he cannot do anything without them...?

Doc Rivers is going to get Danny fired.

Larry Bird , if he was capt. of this sinking ship, would fire Glen and hire Hollins.

Glen and Danny are both in trouble......

Rivers is being a horses hind end ,  if he now thinks he is  a Phil Jackson , I only coach stars , then let him walk .....and don't look back

that is also what I thought...he must think he is phil Jackson now......gimme Jordon or kobe.....LOL...

Hasn't Popovich said that he leaves when Duncan leaves?

Something has to be wrong why Doc is dening to say yes or not.

Could DA be our Yoko Ono and break up the fab four?

Bulpett has some good insight on this:

http://bostonherald.com/sports/celtics_nba/celtics_insider/2013/06/rivers_still_leaning_toward_return_but_hes_intrigued_by

-"Multiple sources insist the odds are still "overwhelmingly" in favor of Rivers continuing on his current contract, which still has three years and $21 million left."

-"Another insists Rivers is angry at reports he is at odds with Danny Ainge over the direction of the Celtics as they try to rebuild on the fly."None of what's happening now is tied to Paul (Pierce) or Kevin (Garnett) or any of that," he said. "There's always been a very good relationship with Danny, and that's one of the biggest reasons why he'll still probably come back."

-"Rivers is also said to be intrigued now by some of the high profile jobs that are -- or could be -- available. such a change of address would require that team providing compensation to the Celtics, who clearly see Rivers as a valuable asset. "

I won't be surprised if all this drama was planed since the beginning by doc and danny for boston to get compensation (1st round picks) from the clippers.
If that so, that's very clever.

Doc Rivers Putting Pressure on Ainge, Celtics

By HOOPSWORLD
Basketball News & NBA Rumors

In what appears to be a standoff to prevent a drastic roster overhaul, Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers seemingly has pushed all of his chips to the center of the table and challenged president of basketball operations Danny Ainge to call his bluff.

May be time for a change.

That’s what a source told ESPN that Rivers believes as he remains publicly noncommittal about spending a 10th season on the Boston bench.

Are the Celtics and Rivers breaking up? If Ainge holds firm to a desire to reshape a team that he strongly suggested is not championship caliber (and seemingly has little flexibility to become so this offseason), then a divorce that would have far-ranging collateral damage could loom.

I think Doc is waiting and seeing what happens with PP and Kg, he is very attached to his two veterans, and their relationship with Rondo is not the best,
It's all a mystery that will happen, but something must be happening to Doc not decide if he agrees to come back or not. I think he has doubts if Ainge can form a competitive team, this added to the uncertain future of PP and KG, see what happens, I guess in the next few hours or days there will be news about Doc first.
There are many rumors, but no one says anything true, many opinions but do not know anything, much speculation.
