"It's really not a comparison. If LeBron was playing in the late '80s and early '90s, he would be just an average player," Rodman said Friday on "The Dan Patrick Show."

Just Dennis looking for attention. I'm a constant heat hater but Lebron is great in any era. A 90s comparison would be to say he is pippen with Karl Malone's body.   The worm lost his mind years ago....

Rodman looking for shock value with this statement.

I hate LeBron and his talents with no spine, but if there's anyone who can play '90s basketball in this new generation, it will be him.

He's All NBA for sure. He will however get beat up, a lot, if he keeps flopping.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
I actually watched the show live today and heard the interview. As mentioned in the article, he did say hes a great player no doubt. I think he was basically saying Lebron would have been an Average All-Star during his era when you think of the guys and teams that were around in his era. I think Lebron would be thought of as one of the really good ones but he wouldnt be lauded as the greatest like he is today and I tend to agree with that.

On a side note they had a poll asking which was the more outrageous comment of the week. Lebron being called average by Dennis or Michael Jordan being left off of Karl Malone's top 5 list? Karl Malone's comments won and again.....I agree. That was more outrageous.

He said Bird was an average player too.  This is one guy who would be a worse GM than Jordan.

Lebron would have played PF and he would have destroyed.

Rodman has made secondary a career out of saying moronic things ... not sure why anyone would even take him seriously, or intimate that there's any weight to his idiotic statements.

Lebron would have played PF and he would have destroyed.

He could have played Center too. Like a quick Center that would run the floor and make plays and dunk.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."
