Celts deal Rondo/Bass/Jeff Green for George Hill, Danny Granger and Roy Hibbert.

Celts get a legit center in Hibbert, an offensive small forward in Granger to spell Pierce (hopefully his knees are healthy) and a respectable PG in George Hill.

Indy gets a more up-tempo team including a legit PG with Rondo, Green, Paul George, Stephenson, Hansborough, etc.

Seems pretty fair.

Not a big fan of hibbert tho even after these playoffs.

I still think the true centers in our league are a bit overrated as far as building a team these days.

They're not dumb. They came a game away from the NBA Finals.

Wow what?

Hibbert drove them to within a game of the NBA finals. No one on Miami could touch him. He is probably about as untradeable as you can get at the moment as crazy as that sounds.

Horrible trade for the pacers. They trade a top center in the league who carried them to within a game of dethroning the Heat for a pg coming off ACL surgery who can't shoot? No way.

Legit high quality big men in the NBA are hard to come by, and exponentially increase your chance of winning a title. Good point guards are much more available and less needed.

If the Pacers make a deal for Rondo, it will be to add him to Hibbert, West, and George, not to replace any of those 3 for him.

Granger and draft picks is what I see them offering around the league for a point guard.

Hibberts alright

You guys make it sound like he's gonna be a hof.

He was a step up from a puddle during the regular season finally did something in the playoffs.

This is like the Paul George talk. Guy has worse numbers across the board than Pierce (age 35) per 36 min and barely eclipses Pierces numbers in postseason and all of a sudden he's like the next lebron

I think it is a good trade for Indiana value wise. Rondo far exceeds Hibbert. Granger and Hill don't swing it back Indy's way.

However, Indiana were just in the Conference Finals and gave a very good showing of themselves. They are not going to blow up their strong nucleus to enter a semi-rebuilding phase. Not for Rondo. They have too much of a good thing already on their hands despite getting the better end of this trade idea.

To be fair to George, he is still very much on the upswing, and a lot of his value actually comes on the defensive side of the ball.  He is one of the best defenders in the league already.  He is a VERY good player.

But Hibbert definitely is getting a little bit too much of a boost right now, after doing what a quality 7 footer should do against a team with no inside presence.  He has become a much better player than I expected, but he is certainly not a star.

You could throw in our 16th pick and it's still not fair.

Indiana would gladly take Rondo (and Green), but I don't see them trading away Hibbert.

As others mentioned i dont think indiana is looking to trade Hibbert. Anyways i still would not like the trade for boston. Hibbert had much better stats against miami in the playoffs then in regular season basicly because miami had no answer to his size. His trade value is very high right now while rondo´s is very low because of his acl. We are also giving away an all-star pg and a sf with potential to be a (borderline) all-star for a center who not even made the all star game in the "small east". The value of granger/bass/hill doesnt really matter to me in this trade....

I'd be much more interested in seeing if they would want some combination of Lee, Terry, and Bass for Granger.  That would strengthen their bench a great deal and helps with the logjam that will exist between George and Granger.  Other pieces and draft picks could be included as necessary.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Yeah no way is Hibbert being traded for anything less then a big man like himself. But we could get into a deal like Rondo and a few guys for Granger and Hill. Not that i would want to do that. But at least that brings them to the table but they wouldn't trade Hibbert right now. Not after the series he just had.

Indiana would laugh at you.  Vogel has built that team on defense and he loves having Hibbert on the back end.  Plus read the reports on Grainger nobody believes he will ever be the sam eplayer due to his knee issues.

not for Indy

Hibbert has more value than an injured Rondo

Hill has equal value to Green

Granger has equal value to bass (if healthy better value, I say equal because he becomes expiring contract)
