According to a source, the #Bucks have made a promise to Miami guard Shane Larkin at #15 at one of Larkin's workouts.

If true, can scratch him off the list for the C's.

Fine by me.  I'd rather take any of the 3-4 decent center prospects that should be available around our pick.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
What does this mean to Brandon Jennings? Are they going to let him walk? Guess so.

That's been the noise for a few months now certainly.

Can you name them I don't know who you are talking about. IMO, the guys projected to be there at 16 project to be career backups and 3rd stringers and that's if they can stick in the league. A big is about the last thing I would want from this draft at our range.

I like Dieng a lot ,and Adam too, but that's about it for big men in the 16 range .

Dieng and Plumlee. I'd be happy with either of those guys.

The way I see it, Dieng is a backup and Adams is most likely Fab Melo part II if not worse.

We barely have one center with KG.

Not that I'm advocating this. Would love for the C's to swing for Big Al. But Dieng is not a bad consolation prize.

Brandon Jennings isn't exactly a championship piece, but #15 in a weak draft isn't exactly a replacement for him either.  I don't think this means much on its own

I like Dieng, but I think pick 16 is too high for him. He's a solid player, but I think there will be one or two higher upside guys. Then again with how weak this draft is I wouldn't be upset if Danny did pick him at 16.

i'm a little shocked at how high larkin's draft position is now. i thought for sure he would be a late 1st rounder at most and possible 2nd rounder, but now he's 1 spot away from a lottery pick.

Seems to my untrained eye that the draft is not weak mid-lottery to late first (from all the rumors, draftexpress stuff...).

Also seems to me that talent available at 13 isn't much different from, say, 18. I'm basing this on the fact that Steve Adams jumped from 16 to 10 on our draft, this Larkin jump, on top of the multitude of shifts in mocks in the past few weeks.

Whatever the case, although there's no surefire stars on top, this draft seems interesting to me.
