Rondo, Green and Bass for Chandler, Felton and Novak.

Think either team does this?

Celts get a big in Chandler and a respectable point guard in Felton.
Knicks get a scorer in Green and I think Melo would love playing with Rondo

Why would we give up Rondo for a limited defense-only big man like Tyson Chandler + a borderline starter PG in Ray Felton?

That looks a fairly weak trade package to my eyes. Oh and Jeff Green too.

I don't like that we're giving the two best players in the deal.

I don't think Rondo and Melo would get on all that well. Melo likes the ball in his hands too much. I think Rondo would be good for Melo if he was willing to adjust his game a bit but I have my doubts about that.

I love the idea of Rondo and Amare though. That would be special.

I thought the point of trade ideas was to get the best players in the trade, not give up the best players...

Well, if that was the case, then why would the other team engage in a trade if they are going to give you the best player?

Just a bad trade for us.  You give up the best player in the trade in Rondo and also Green who by far has the most potential and the best scorer in the deal for an over priced one dimensional big man, and a slightly above average PG.  Novak is a one dimensional player who couldn't even get off their bench in the playoffs.  You get far worse in 2 positions.

A playmaker like Rondo and a big man finisher like Amare ... that would be a sight to see.

I think they would have great chemistry together. Play very well off one another.

Yup another PG who can make Amar'e's life easier, just like Nash once did.

Of course I doubt Amar'e can stay on the court enough to make that tandem truly hum, his knees just can't hold up.

I'd rather do a 3-team deal that would send Rondo to the Hornets, Ryan Anderson to the Lakers, and Pau Gasol and Greivis Vasquez to Boston based on a fellow Celtic fan's idea I spotted earlier today.

I don't see how the Celtics could get any better with a banged up Tyson Chandler, a fat PG along with an apparently passive 3rd stringer.

No! no! no!

Giving up our two best players for a very overrated big, a player who can do nothing but shoot, and a mediocre streaky PG?????
