Blah!
Not liking that at all. I don't care for Jordan, becomes a liability with ft shooting, and with Rondo makes it even worse, you'd give other teams two guys to chose from to foul.
As much of a high flier and fun to watch Griffin is, Green is a better player. Take Griffins athletic ability away and he's below average basketball player.
Now if the Clips want to keep Jordan, and the Celts keep Green I'd be more into that. Having Rondo with Green and Griffen on the wings of a fast break would be fun to watch.
If there is any truth in SAS’ “insider” info on a proposed trade between BOS and SAC, I’d like to add one other team to improve it.
Celtics out: Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Avery Bradley, Jared Sullinger, Fab Melo, Jordan Crawford, 2014 & 2016 1st round picks, 2014 2nd round pick, Doc Rivers
Celtics in: Demarcus Cousins, Blake Griffin, John Salmons
Why for Celtics: While the C’s depth and veteran leadership is depleted in this scenario, they gain young stars in Cousins and Griffin to pair alongside of Rondo and Green. This isn’t, hasn’t been, nor will it ever be a depth league. You win or lose based on star power. Now while our stars might be quote-un-quote head cases, they would give Boston the best chance to win titles in the present and future. I’d miss KG and Pierce, but they’d only be here for a year or two at the most anyway.
Clippers out: Deandre Jordan, Blake Griffin, Eric Bledsoe
Clippers in: Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Avery Bradley, Jared Sullinger, Fab Melo, 2014 2nd round pick, Doc Rivers
Why for Clippers: Stephen A. Smith said so. Okay, I guess that’s not enough. My guess would be that the floated rumors of CP3 not getting along with Griffin and Jordan are true and that he could see adding KG and Pierce as important pieces in a run at a title over the next couple of years. Also, they would be adding some good young depth (and potential) in Sullinger, Bradley, and maybe even Melo. Additionally, when KG & Pierce come off the books they will have CP3 and LA as excellent recruiting tools for free agents. Oh yeah, they also get Doc.
Kings in: Deandre Jordan, Eric Bledsoe, Jordan Crawford, 2014 & 2016 1st round picks
Kings out: Demarcus Cousins and John Salmons
Why for Kings: If they are truly tired of Cousins act, they are able to add some young, athletic players with growth potential in Jordan, Bledsoe and even Crawford. Plus they get two 1st round picks, with one of them being in the talent rich 2014 draft. Plus, they’re the Kings. Sound decisions aren’t in their DNA. Heck, they just hired a coach before bringing in a GM. Does that sound like they’ve got their act together? I don’t think so.
