Heat should win 4-1 or 4-2.
Too many offensive options. I mean they went three overtimes against a poultry offensive Grizzlies team with no wing players.

I usually root for the conference but I can't root for NYC or MIA ever.  Go Spurs, teamwork beats glam.  Spurs in 6.  I hate LA and MIA more than any other teams but I hate all teams not Celtic.

They swept the Grizzlies.....

The Heat, with all their "offensive options", barely got by the Pacers who can't score well at all. It's an evenly matched series, with a slight advantage to the Spurs because of Popovich.

Yup. And the Grizzlies match up way better against the Spurs than the Heat do.

The Pacers interior D is on another level, you guys think splitter and Duncan are going to scare Lebron like Hibbert, West and Mahinmi?
In my opinion the key to San Antonio will be Tony Parker penetrating and the Spurs ability to hit threes. I could be completely wrong but I think the Memphis team would beat the Spurs with Rudy Gay or a SF who can hit a jumpshot.
The Grizz had Bayless and Conley as their wing options on offense.

I'll definitely be rooting for the Spurs.  I love watching them play.  They play beautiful basketball on the offensive end, and they are solid on the defensive end.

I can't stand Lebron James and actively root for him to lose.  Any team that can prevent the Miami Heat from winning gets my support and respect.

I'd take Duncan and Splitter over Hibbert and West on defense any day. The Heat also have to wonder, how are they going to stop the Spurs offense? Parker, Duncan, and Ginobili will tear them apart. The Heat have Lebron and Chalmers playing very well, and Haslem and Andersen helping out as well, but Wade and Bosh look cooked. If they don't get good production from both Bosh and Wade for at least 4 games, they are not going to win this series.

Yeah? Duncan is a better interior defender than Hibbs. Splitter is a pretty good defender too - I would take him over West on defense (size, length, strength). While the Pacers have Stephenson and George, the Spurs have Manu and Kawhi.

In Tony Parker's last game, he scored 37 against the best defense in the NBA.

Memphis got swept. A SF with a jumper is not going to bump them up 4 games. Tayshaun Prince is a very good jump shooter as is. Plus, Rudy Gay is not an efficient player at all. He's talented, but if he was on the team, would you think Mike Conley would have been given the opportunity to step it up like he did?

Bayless and Conley - I don't think that's really helping what you're trying to say. Conley played all-star+ against the Spurs, and Bayless was no scrub. Meanwhile, Wade faded into the shadows against the Pacers.

Bayless and Conley > Wade and Chalmers (in the conference finals).

I think the difference maker in this series will be how well the Spurs move the ball and hit the 3.

Miami likes to come at and pressure the ball hard in the pick and roll.  San Antonio is probably going to run somewhere around 80 pick and rolls for Tony Parker each game (including multiple in single possessions).  Miami needs to pressure it and try to get it out of Tony's hands and make other players beat them.  When they get it out of Tony's hands, the Spurs are great at moving the ball and I'm very confident they will get a lot of open looks at 3 for Manu, Green, Leonard, and Bonner against scrambling rotations of Miami's defense.

If those guys knock down their 3's at a very good clip, then SA will absolutely blow away Miami this series.  If they hit at a decent clip, then I still say advantage SA in 6 or 7 games including a few close ones.  If those guys don't shoot the 3 well this series, then Miami takes the series no matter how well TP and Duncan play.

Aside from Florida fans (if you can call them 'fans'), Miami Heat bandwagon fans and LeTravel fanboys, I bet not only US fans, but everyone else is rooting for San Antonio.

I won't loose any sleep, of course, as I don't care that much about those two teams, but I hope to read about LeTravel and his idiotic crew losing to Tim Duncan and his TEAM.

LeBron is the best athlete in the game, but the fact he can't dribble without commiting a travel disqualifies him as best basketball player. The non called offensive fouls could help him qualify to NFL Pro Bowl, though. He'd be amazing playing football. At least Jordan wasn't looking for validation, he was just a jerk who pushed his defenders, but he wasn't talking about the things he would achieve if only he tried to.

I hate the bias toward stars, it's disgusting to watch Karate Hamster and LeTravel getting away with murder. The good thing is Ginobili is a flopper also, so we could be rewarded with a beautiful double flop (Manu and Wade, because LeTravel never flops).

Not a fan of Popovich, but he's great and should outcoach Spoelstra, and I hope T-Mac gets his ring, leaving "that guy" without his easy second championship.

For those who are going to actually watch the games, good luck with disgusting officiating.

Go Celtics!

Unfortunately, i have to agree with pretty much all of the above.  The way the Heat/Lebron are treated is just crooked.

Oh please where do you see too manu ofensive options @Miami...?! Ok, I can admit the power of Lebron, make the difference but nothing more, if you keep a good defence to limit Lebron. Indys almost eleminate them, lack of expereince. SAS are better team in general.

Pickin' on just one part here but Tayshaun was a non-factor in the series and he was afraid to shoot. He was pretty darn bad. Jump shot just wasn't falling.

It will help if the refs don’t allow any of the Heat to drive to the basket leading with their knee stuck into the groin/midsection of the defender. I missed the last game, but they nailed LBJ for doing that in the 6th game, and Battier too in an earlier game.

No they don't.  The Heat have most of the match-up edges and where they don't they can make do.  I expect the games to be close, but the Heat to win in 5 maybe 6 games.  The Spurs have no real interior threat offensively (Duncan is much more a jump shooting big and Splitter is not a threat at all), their wings can be guarded by Battier, and while Parker is a big edge, Chalmers (with help) should be able to do enough (I mean the Heat have contained Westbrook, Rose, etc. in years past without much difficulty).
