Good luck to J. Kidd in the future, truly a legendary point guard (even though, I absolutely hated him when he was with the Nets).

Great career, very happy he won a title with Dallas, and selfishly very happy he is retiring because I think he made NYK a better team and he played very good defense against us.

Not a huge surprise, the playoffs showed he couldn't cut it anymore.  Glad he got - and contributed to - a ring before he retired.

Kinda crazy that up until last week both of the 1995 co-Rookies of the Year were still active.

Love the guy's game, but the dude's a confirmed drunk driver and wife beater.

So, to Jason Kidd the retiree, I say "meh."

Did he end up finishing that knicks series without making a fg? If so that's a sad way to end.

lifetime Celtics killer. Even at 40 i couldn't believe he was killing the celts, just by swiping the ball off the players hand in crucial situations. It was one after another after another. Pierce got swiped i don't know how many times

A nice pg, that couldn't shoot , though is one of the top three players to make 3 point shots. go figure

Congratulations on a great career. Enjoy your retirement. Glad you won't be on the Knicks anymore.

not only did he not get a FG he didn't score a point in the last 10 games he played.  He was 0-17 from the field in those games and didn't attempt a single foul shot.

Why retire now?  He’s #2 in both career assists and career steals.  If he holds on a little longer maybe he can pass John Stockton in both!

If he can continue last season’s pace (76 games per season, 1.6 spg, 3.3apg), he’d only needs to play about 5 more years to take the steals lead, and 17 more seasons to become the all-time assists leader.  :o

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Man, I respected his game but absolutely hated the guy from his Nets days.  I'll never forget that guy breaking my heart in '02.

overdue.

odd that the second and third pick (grant hill) from that long ago only just retired after this season.  speaks volumes about the quality of players coming into the league when a number of players well into their 30's can still play against these kids and hold their own.
