I dont kow how but if danny ainge somehow clears some space we can try to get howard(impossible but with dannys creativity maybe it can work) A howard and rondo combination sounds terryfying.                        Any thoughts on how to get howard?

Won't happen. I'm one of the people who remembers Howard from his dominant days in Orlando, not his prima donna days in purple and during the whole Dwightmare fiasco and would love him here. He has said he'd love to play with Rondo, but there just isn't a way to get him here that I see as realistic.

It would take some sort of a 3 way trade and losing Pierce and/or KG as well as possibly AB or Sullinger.

PG: Rondo
SG: Bradley
SF: Green
PF: Sullinger
C: Howard

I would love that starting 5.

Despite tha "Dwightmare" I wouldn't be opposed to having D12 on tha Celtics at all. He's everything tha Celtics need under tha rim and I would love a Rondo - Howard combo. Even Howard and Sully in tha front court would be a monster. Tha issue with getting him though is money and tha C's don't have Dwight Howard money. He's worth a max contract believe it or not and he'll probably ask for one. So Danny would probably have to blow this current squad up (assuming KG and Pierce don't retire) to get him. Sometimes I wish Danny had deeper pockets. But I wouldn't even want Danny giving up that much talent to free up space to get him when there's guys like Larry Sanders that can do what Howard can for a hell of a lot cheaper.

Yes. Yes it does. Especially at the free throw line.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

The only way Dwight is coming to Boston is if he signs a 1-year contract with LA for some reason (give everyone a second chance, I suppose, without the long-term commitment, and let the Dwightmare become as interminable as waiting for Godot).  We could probably clear enough cap room by then to make a run at him.

Did he actually ever say he wanted to play with Rondo?

Around 1 point per possession isn't so bad.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

On the contrary, I hope Houston comes out with a line of green jerseys soon.
