All of this debate is well and good, but can the C's actually take on his contract? I'm fairly sure the China 3 can only bring back $3,003,958 in salary by themselves (for trading away purposes, their salaries are 854,389, which is the unreimbursed portion of their salary), but Robinson's contract is about 71k more than that. Unless there's some weird loophole to exploit (trading the China 3 for Delfino and then trading back Delfino for Robinson, for instance, but I'm fairly certain that isn't allowed) then it doesn't matter what compensation we could give the Rockets aside from salary relief, since we can't give them the salary relief in the first place, barring a much larger and more complicated trade that seems unlikely.
