Fine Lebron and brand the face of the league as a flop-artist?  Even if the NBA wanted to, common sense wouldn't allow it.  It would destroy the reputation of the NBA around the world.

A falsifiable conspiracy is a contradiction in terms, no?  The irrationality of the average sports fan hardly impresses or surprises me anyone.
