Haven't seen a thread about this yet, so here it is.

This is a great move by Ferry, unfortunately. Budenholzer is no doubt a great coach and it's great he's a head coach now. Hawks will advance past the semis now, and lose to Celtics in the ECF :)

We will see, sometimes guys flame out once they rise above assistant.   If any team can break him as a coach, one with Josh Smith taking shots on it might be the one.

Why raise him on a pedestal before he has done anything.   I thought the team had got better under Larry Drew.   Ferry ought to look hard in the mirror because that team's problem was not their coach alone but their players. Ferry last coach hire was not that good and I do not think he is the best GM.  If you take away the lucky landing of LeBron you don't have much to show their in terms of acumen.
