i dont want boozer on this team. i will riot. he just cant get it done. bad defense and is repetitive to kg's offense. we need low post scoring or formally known as a center

I'm sure Danny will explore a lot of options but I think this is a move that allows Danny to add an effective starting-caliber big while keeping his best assets (Sullinger, Bradley, Rondo, ect)

I like boozer but is he enough of a banger in the paint for what we need? I thought at this point in his career he is more of a jump shooter like KG but I haven't watched him enough. Am I wrong on this assumption?

62% of Boozer's shots were jump shots this season.  80% of Garnett's shots were jump shots.

For comparison Brandon Bass 72%, Al Jefferson 70%, Zack Randolph 54%, Josh Smith 53%, David Lee 47%, Blake Griffin 47%, Pau Gasol 58%, Carmelo Anthony 74%

This doesn't take into account long vs short jump shots because that was too much work.

Great stats.

I think Boozer would be a huge upgrade over Bass for what the team and KG needs for this team to win now. Decent PF who ca post (because Bass has no post game) and shot in the pick and pop.

TP for you good stuff. Surprised to see 70% of Jefferson's shots were jumpers.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Dat contract though.

I think there are cheaper yet similar options we have if we are going for those banging PF's.

Like Carl Landry.
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

TP for the use of 'dat'. I agree carl landry brings the same game for cheaper. always been a fan of him and thought he would fit perfectly with our club

He has a player option for 4 million. I'm not sure if he's going to opt that in for GS, but we can maybe put a trade package to acquire him.

Wow!  Really?  Chicago would give him away for free if they could.  Ridiculous contract, shoots uncontested fade-aways, on the bench in crunch time.  Believe me Chicago cant wait to get rid of him.  Lets hope we're not the sucker they're on the end of this deal.

I would think Smith would of been much higher too

The thing that stands out to me about Smith's shooting stats last season is that in the regular season he took 190 hook shots, which was second most, yet made only 37.9% of those shots.  Roy Hibbert had the most with 242 and shot 60.7%.  Dwight Howard was third and shot 45.6%.  Kevin Seraphin was 4th and shot 72.9%.

I really want to like Smith, but it seems to me that he does absolutely nothing efficiently on the offensive side of the ball

Chicago would not give him away for free. He is overpaid but he is still an above-average starting PF who averaged 17/10 last season which is almost identical to his career stats.

Would you rather pay Jason Terry and Brandon Bass $13mill over the next two seasons or pay Carlos Boozer $15mill over the next two seasons? Pretty easy answer for me personally.

I'm sure Danny will explore other options as he should, but I don't see a more effective player we could land for a Terry/Bass package
