I live in Tampa now and will only get to see the Celtics when they play in Orlando so starting next year I am going to go to a game a year in Orlando to watch them. But in the mean time, I think I might want to start that this year by heading to the Summer league games. My sons will be in town and I know they will go with me but if you have plans or want to make plans to go, lets meet up and give the C's their own cheering section from Celticsblog.
Nick...the Orlando Summer Games are not open to the public....kills me! They are held on a small practice court or school gymnasium court with no bleachers, I think. They do show the games on tv. I went to the Las Vegas games when BBD was a rookie....it was great! I couldn't wait to go back, but the next year they didn't make the trip and went to Orlando instead.
Now I follow some of the unaffiliated pros and undrafted players who participate in a professional camp at a here in Clearwater, trying to get picked up by a summer league, DLeague or NBA team. Just trying to get noticed. There are three or four coaches who put them through drills every day all summer. It is just starting up now, and I haven't been by to watch yet this year. (I am usually the only non participant (outside observer) there. If the bleachers are not down I drag a chair in ...they tolerate me!

I think they are too afraid to hurt the old lady's feelings to throw me out!
I get their email drill scripts, too (BasketballHQ.com and The Coaching Toolbox). Last year they filmed the drills after the summer games were over. This is held at the Countryside Community Center.
You don't know how sorry I am that the games are closed to the public....would love to meet you over there to watch a game. I think Orlando is missing a chance that would draw tourists to that area in Summer...a slow tourist season down here!
