How about

#13, Vince Carter (3.18 m), Jared Cunningham (1.208 m)

for

2013 2nd, Williams (947k), Randolph (1.1 m), White (1 m)

(I think my math is correct but if not just take Cunningham out of the trade)

Saves the Mavs a bunch of cap room by getting them a bunch of non-guaranteed contracts and a non-guaranteed 2nd rounder for contracts next year and a pick (all of which take up cap room).  I'd probably be willing to throw in a heavily protected future 1st if required.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I think they will ask for more savings. Pierce to Dallas is very possible.

Do the Celtics actually want to trade into this draft?  Everyone seems to want out.

Id say why not?  There arent franchise makers but there are sure to be some good pieces.

Yea I think Dallas asks for more but for the Celtics it's almost a no-brainer. They get a late lotto pick and a guard they coveted last year in Cunningham plus they could probably flip Vince to a contender for a future pick.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

If you aren't giving anything of value up, I don't see why not.  I mean isn't the proposed trade where you get Vince Carter, Jared Cunningham, and say with the pick you get Shabazz (and with our own we get Adams) for non-guaranteed contracts of deep bench players a no brainer.  Seems pretty clear.

Possibly, but Dallas doesn't need more savings than just Vince, Cunningham, and the pick to get enough room for two max, so I don't see why they would want to give Marion up (who would be a great compliment to Paul, Dirk, and Howard).

I thought Portland has our second round pick this year? Otherwise it looks pretty good to me.

Yeah I could see that especially if they could land Paul or Howard.

Pierce to Dallas for Marion and Carter?

Marion and Carter are both expirings totally about 12 mil for next year. Does make us younger but gives us the cap space the following year. Although if we are just trading for two olds vets, I would think we could rather just buy out Pierce's contract, let him walk, and save that way.

Why wouldn't they just pick a foriegn player that won't come over next year? That would not cost against the cap correct?
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I'm not sure they would trade Carter, his contract is partially guaranteed so it could be a source of cap savings on its own.

because they need to cut a lot more salary than just whatever they would pay the 1st round pick. They can use it to lure a team into taking on a few of their contracts for an expiring deal.

I only added him for salary matching purposes cause I didnt see any other Mavs fit the bill that they would want to get rid of.

You are incorrect, sir! Carter's contract was only partially guaranteed if he was waived before June 30th, 2012.
