This is just me, but I think it should have said Pope Francis, because then the 1 makes a little more sense.  See now he can go to Benedict and be like "This is for you. They said they'd make me a #2 jersey....no wait. I'll keep this one and you can have the #2 jersey"

I mean if we see Benedict wearing this we'll all know some sort of regift scenario went on.
