Mirotic can be an All Star, but he's not on Dirk's level. He's faster and has better handles, but he's not the deadly shooter Dirk is. And I love the kid, he's only 22 and he's already the best 4 in Europe, but he'll have to adapt to the physical play in the NBA. In the Euroleague championship game the greek were abusing him and the rest of his team.
This trade only happens if KG is retiring, and I hope he doesn't, but KG's decision will be the first move. I know it's unlikely, but I'd love him to be traded to Orlando for Turkoglu and their 2014 first rounder, and then file retirement papers to come back to the Celtics as a coach.
Then, trade Pierce+Bass to the Bulls for Boozer+Hamilton+the Bobcats pick (top-10 protected in 2014, top-8 in 2015, unprotected in 2016). That would mean the Bulls pick Rip's option, in order to have a one-year rental of Pierce, a backup for Gibson in Bass, and saving almost 17M in 2014-2015 of Boozer's contract. They could play Rose/Butler/Deng/Gibson/Noah with Nate/Bellinelli/Pierce/Bass coming off the bench and destroy the Heat next year. So the bobcats pick could be worth it. Mirotic rights are a bit too much, and the Cs would have to give something really good for him, which I'm not sure they have/are willing to part with.
