Wow, imagine if we had a guy like that..! #1 defense on guards, small forwards, and can slash, move and score....! Oh wait, we DID have him....and for the 3.5 million we gave to Marquis Daniels, we could have kept him....He wanted 3 years at 3.5 million.....Bah, he has been on Memphis for THREE YEARS....look at him now....another great loss we got nothing for....!

it was easy to GIVE him a bigger role as he was our best defender and slasher.....but I don't expect you to know that. PP would have had more gas left if he wasn't played so much...a balanced team for short money! MD never produced anything....

danny was trying to align all the contracts to expire at the same time to go for a superstar free agent in 2010. he later offered tony allen the 3rd year but it was too late i believe.


its crazy how back then when tony first joined the griz, they were a pretty bad team but now they're legit contenders

True, they got it going now.they do have good people at all positions...and they got a break that westbrook went out and harden is gone......wonder if they could beat Miami.....TA CAN shut down wade..and give LeBron a hard time....!!!

Ainge should have traded Pierce and Ray Allen in 2010 to give Tony Allen a starting gig.

it is true...pp has been overplayed with no help....esp after ray left....he should have went to a reduced, easier role..a specialist instead of primary scorer and defender.....too much.....!

I was being facetious. Trading two future Hall of Famers, on a team with championship aspirations, to give a defensive specialist more playing time is not a rational thing to do.

I applaud Tony's continued success, and I'm rooting for the Grizz. But sometimes, people have to move on to grow and succeed.
