I know he spent all of last season injured, but he should have had time to recover

is there any real way we could land Andrew Bynum while keeping Rondo, Bradley,  and Green?

I'm willing to take the risk on this guy, if he stays healthy he brings so much to this team and I think

the Rondo/Green/Bynum could be something

The fact of the matter is a healthy andrew bynum is possibly a top 10 player in the nba

You are crazy.  He wants max money and that's a contract that even a decent team shouldn't do.  It would be a GM/Coach/team killer type move.  Far too much risk.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
I'll call you crazy.

I want no part of that guy.

I'd have a hard time watching the Celtics if he was ever on our team. He just got done robbing Philly.

No thanks.

Afford him how?  In a trade?  The answer is heck no.  At least not in a deal that I would consider.  Would have to give up Rondo for sure.

For the cap space we have if we bring back paul and KG, sure.

Nothing more than that.

Heck NO!!!! Bynum is done, his knees are shot, AND he's a big time selfish jerk/thug and wants a max deal. NO WAY!!!

I would however go hard after Oden for much less money but give him a few guaranteed years.

Flip side: a healthy Andrew Bynym may now be purely hypothetical.

I remember the last game of phil jackson as a coach. Bynum make himself ejected because he didn't want to finish the game. It was very disrespectful towards phil jackson. It tells a lot about what type of player he is.
No way this guy wear a celtics jersey.

I would love it if he was signed and traded for Brandon Bass + Courtney Lee + picks for 5 years 45-50 mil.

He will get offered the max by some team who are not the Celtics.

I'd call you crazy.

Plus, I want no part of Andrew Bynum.

Yes, you are crazy.  ;)

Seriously, I wouldn't touch this guy with a 10-foot pole; he's made of glass.

As far as affording him, the price should be cheap—I wouldn't pay more than the vet min for him at this stage of his injury-plagued career. Ditto for Oden. If they were to stay healthy and play well for a whole season, then they can justifiably ask for more money.

Better off going at Oden for just a fraction of the cost.

Both can be franchise altering centers, both are huge injury risks (granted, Oden more so), but Bynum can ruin a franchise if with a max contract if he breaks down. Oden can't command enough to set a team back long term if he can't play.

And that team would be the biggest sucker in the league. Virtually guaranteed to get hurt every season, plus he has attitude problems.
