Sitting here kind of half watching Game 4 of Grizzlies/Thunder series, not really paying attention, but then something catches my ear.  The arena music, is the beat to Liquid Swords by the GZA/Genius!

(Sure that might not mean anything to most of you, but I'm sure my man dark lord appreciates it).

I thought no way can that be the case, NBA teams don't play underground Wu-Tang songs from 20 years ago during games.

Looked it up, and there's a whole article supporting this, how Memphis plays the best in-game music, but wondering if anybody else noticed how different their in-game music was while watching the game?

Comment sections of the article also mention they play Deltron 3030, that would blow my mind if I heard that at an NBA game.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Cool find, but slightly off topic here... anyone know where I can find MP3 files of the sounds that TD Garden makes? I like one of them, but describing it is impossible.

Thats real dope. The Celtics in game music is always current top 40 songs, Boston 80's cliches, Irish jiggs or 10 year old 50 cent... ::) yea the music sucks in the garden. :(

I remember the Cavs when Lebron was there had a inhouse DJ. Think it was Mick Boogie.

Just heard Gravel Pit by Wu Tang, forget the game, now I just want to listen and hear what songs they play the rest of the way.

They have good taste in music. Classic Hip-Hop. Everything about Wu-Tang is Hip-Hop. Too bad we'll never hear anything like this anymore.

I just want to bump this thread from last year, but watching this C's game reminded me of it.

Grizzlies have the best in game music of any team by far.  Anyone else notice it?

Like right before this last break, they were playing C.R.E.A.M. by Wu Tang.  You won't get that anywhere else in the league.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

They played some great music during the game, I heard both Sound and Vision by bowie and Mark Ronson's version of Just by radiohead. Very impressed!

Heard a little bit of Tool, and some Alan Parsons Project, too.

Hearing Sirius outside of the Bulls home games will always seem out of place to me, I think.

Glad I wasn't alone!  Impressive.

I don't even like music during the game but at least they played good stuff.

I noticed it too last year. They're one of the few to have good music that's not overplayed
