Celtics guard Avery Bradley lands on All-Defensive second team.

Bradley got 10 first-team votes and 25 points overall (a point more than two first-teamers). First team guards = TA (53 pts) + CP3 (37)

Bradley was only Celtics player to receive All-Defensive votes; not a single vote for Kevin Garnett.

The steals leader always gets it but Bradley was better defensively by pretty much every metric except for steals.

Avery Bradley should not have been named to the First Team ahead of Tony Allen or CP3.

Again the Defensive Player of the year doesn't make the First team.

So, Mark Gasol is the defensive player of the year, but he finished behind two other centers on the All-Defense team?

Stuff like this always cracks me up.

I think the biggest Celtics-related travesty here is that KG didn't get a single vote.

Not a single vote for Garnett?

That's just stupid.

Seriously.  Just plain pathetically [naughty word] stupid.

Lol@cp3

Don't tell me you actually think he's a better defender then Avery.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
From now on, steals shouldn't be factored in unless they were scored in return of a turn over..

I could dribble my ball to my left hand, lose footing, and lose the ball by myself, and CP3 would get the steal.

Only Tony Allen was far superior, and that's because he's also taller.

Ya, I mean after Kobe got voted to the first team I think people should've basically given up hope for the list. Its the golden glove award now.

Tony Allen, definitely was superior this year...CP3 I don't know about that one. He's a good defender, but he's a 1st team because of his name.

I'm open minded: convince me. Post some metrics. [TP to Evan for doing just that.]

Are the teams not position-based? Isn't it a question of who is the better defender: Allen or Bradley?

Garnett not getting a vote is pathetic.

I 2nd that, especially seeing the huge gap when he's on the floor compared to when he's on the bench. He didn't have to make the team, but NO vote at all is ridiculous.
