Do you think he and Jeff would mesh well? I would love Josh here but i have a strange feeling that he and green would be to similar to play well together. Josh likes to make plays off iso in the half court, that seems to be much of Jeff's game.

Just want to get people's opinion on this cause i was sitting here thinking about it. Thanks!

Josh Smith and Jeff Green would be absolutely fun to see at SF/PF.

I think they would work really well.

I could see a play like Jeff Green going for the one dribble drive, pass it off to Josh Smith who'll go in for the slam.

Either way Josh Smith could complement with rebounds, and shot blocking. While Jeff can focus on his 1 on 1 interior defense. Either way I see them both as pretty decent sized men for their positions.

Yeah, they would mesh well together because they're both athletic, quick forwards.

Green at the 3 and Smith at the 4. With Rondo back, the three of them would work well together.

I think it would work great. It would create some great match up problems and allow us to throw two athletic defenders at different players on the opposing teams.

The question is, how do we get Josh Smith without giving up Jeff Green.

I would try and throw them a combo of Bass,Bradley,Melo, and our 16th pick? Or get a 3rd team involved. Also if we go for getting rid of Pierce we could do that 3 way thats been talked about.

Trade Pierce to Dallas into their cap space, thereby creating a TE large enough to accommodate the first year of Smith's new contract?

Although, that begs the question: why wouldn't Dallas just make a deal for Smith?

Smith would have to choose to come to Boston over other options. (including potentially Dallas)

Smith has desire to play in Beantown with his HS friend. Not to mention who knows what FA Dallas may be pursuing.

Everytime I see a thread where peolple are advocating getting Smith I just shake my head. I don't get why people are trying to convince themselves that he is good.

I just picture it being an utter disaster and him constantly getting ripped on and booed by his own fans.

If you want to see some dunks lets just get gerald green for cheap

I don't just want dunks though, I also want blocks, steals and rebounds all things that Smith provides.

I think, in the end Smith chooses Houston. He would fit there so well it's scary.

Maybe, because he averages 8.0 rebounds throughout his career and 15.3 points, 1.2 steals per game, and 2.1 blocks per game?

Wow, he would slot in nicely there at the 4, between Parsons and Asik.

Most likely, they'll probably put Asik at 4 with Parsons getting more minutes, if they get Howard. Getting rid of Parsons is a no-no, which I doubt they'll do it anyways. Parsons/Lin/Harden seem like the faces of the franchise there. And their also a fan/crowd favorite trio.
