So even though we are all expert GM's there has been a few times when we were a little off base, to put it kindly. I wanted to play a little game that I thought would be fun and provide a few laughs, and make sure I'm not the only one who has made some poor evaluations. It can be related to the Celtics or just the NBA in general. It can be recent or some time ago. So here's a few of my not so shining moments:

-I wanted Jujuan Johnson all along and I was estatic when Danny drafted him

-I thought Chicago made a huge mistake drafting Rose instead of Beasley

-I was convinced Gerald Green would become a star
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

It's okay we forgive you  ;).

Although, don't know why you'd think Beasley would be better than Rose.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

I thought KG and Pierce would be healthy enough to beat the Knicks in 5 this year.

I thought we'd be an easy out in the 1st round last year... didn't factor in pride and an easy schedule.

I initially thought Rondo would push hard for a comeback in the playoffs, but I was never sure about it.

I thought we were gonna win it all and win multiple championships after our 2012 offseason roster changes that included adding Jason Terry, Courtney Lee, Jason Collins, Darko Milicic, Leandro Barbosa, and the revival of Jeff Green/Chris Wilcox.

Welp guise....

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I liked the JR Giddens pick(although I did think the first round was a bit of a stretch I wasn't mad).

I thought Bradley would be our best 3 point shooter this season.

At the time it was a pretty 50/50 split.

Obviously Chicago made the right decision.

I thought Rose was going to come out and say he was missing the whole year after the All Star Break.

I also thought that the Bucks would win one game against the Heat.

I thought Bradley would be our best 3 point shooter this season.

My problem believing in Bradley's three point shooting, or really any shooting, is that  he jumps so high on his jump shots.  It is really hard to be a good shooter when you have to use your legs that much.  That is why, or one reason why, I don't like Bass either. Being consistent will always be a problem for them.

I thought Marcus Banks would be a borderline All Star point guard.

Thought Kendrick Perkins could be a Robert Parrish impact level player.

Thought Kedrick Brown would be a solid 16 point pre-game scorer.

I thought the JJJ pick was a solid one -- going against my hard and fast rule that Big 10 players make for crappy pros.  (looks like Sully will finally prove me wrong I hope)

Thought Royce White would be a great player and really wanted us to draft him.
