I hope the Celtics can find a good low post scorer. I'm loving watching the Grizz play inside out right now. KG could do this, but likes to shoot too many jumpers and plays limited minutes.

I disagree.  KG can't play inside on a conistant basis anymore or else he would have this year.  He can't take the banging at least not for 30+ minutes a night...

Al Jefferson looks the only option that is somewhat available who is strong a low post scorer.

Most likely, I think the C's will have to go with more perimeter scoring. Dribble penetration and jump-shooting.

I don't see us all of a sudden becoming the Grizzlies, but if Sully comes back healthy and continues to improve, I could see KG and Jared forming somewhat of a poor man's Gasol/Randolph, high post/low post combo at times. 

This team needs scoring flat out. This becomes even more of an issue if Pierce is not on the roster next season. Count me in as someone who is very skeptical of Green being a #1 option on a very good team. Aside from Green, who else on this team can you go to to get buckets?

Danny has tried to address this in the past by bringing in players such as Nate Robinson, Jason Terry, and Jordan Crawford. None of which have really worked out. Whether its through the draft, trade, or free agency this team needs somebody who can carry the offense and scoring load because Pierce's 35 year old legs just can't do it anymore.

Between Green, Rondo, and a couple of outside shooters, I'm considerably less concerned about scoring than I am about rebounding.

I understand your point and you're right, size/rebounding are priority #1, but how many times has this team gone long stretches of solid defense but absolutely horrid scoring?

  I'd wonder how often you'd see similar bad scoring stretches from other teams if you watched them as much as you watch the Celts.

The Celtics definitely need some new personnel to help in the offensive end but there are some things they can do to make their offense better.

1. Give up on the "we don't need to offensively rebound the ball" philosophy and send Sully and a guard to the rim to get misses every play.

2. Quicken the pace when you have a younger set of players on the court. Fast break, get to the basket before the defense sets.

3. Once Rondo and a real back up PG are in place, drive the ball to the hole and draw charges, hit layups, or dish out for corner threes. If he is still here next year that goes for Jeff Green who should be working on using his left hand and giving left to the basket.

4.Take better care of the ball.

5. Get better defensively without needing to give up on offensive rebounds

Now, new personnel are necessary. Lee, Crawford, Wilcox, Williams, and Terry just are not good offensive fits and their defense is suspect. But doing these things besides moving some players around should help out offensively.
