I'm curious.  I don't know much about salary cap and all that stuff but I hope the people that's knowledgable about stuff like that around here would tell me.  What is our chances of landing a big fish like him?  Imagine Rondo and Dwight combo on the court...

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my

Not a chance. He doesn't like the cold weather and the income taxes in Boston. And he's a drama queen so he fits well in either Hollywood, South Beach, or the Big Apple.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
It's bad news Im afraid. The answer is absolutely zero. Even if KG retires and we waive Pierce, right along with all the other non-guaranteed contracts, it's still not enough. We'd still have over 50 million in committed salary. We'd need much less on the books.

Agreed.

I wouldn't mind seeing him in NY, actually, just because I think the media there would have him for lunch. They've seen enough prima donnas in their day to know how to handle them.

Taking players based on their stats only is not the right approach.
DW is weak mentally, so it doesn't fit the Celtics profile.
Drama queens are for Hollywood.

Same goes for players like K-mart, DMC, and so on...
Locker room polluters can't even be considered.
Boston have enough problem on their own to deal with the next 2 years with vets and salary caps. Don't add more problems.

Just recruit contributors at a cheap price. Barbosa was one of them.
