How satisfied were you with our 2012-13 campaign?

Seeing Jeff Green move closer to what I expected he could be was by far the best aspect. That's what I paid the most attention to. Sully was a bit of a revelation prior to injury, and the post rondo run was fun.
Other than that, it never felt like we were contenders. We're not big enough and the injuries were a joke. Great to see KG tough it out in the playoffs. Hard to watch PP stink (turnovers and slowness).

I was pretty satisfied with the team, but I thought it was one of Doc's worst coaching years. I can't understand why he continuously plays players that refuse to rebound. When you see guys like Garnett acting like the game is volleyball and you see Iman Shumpert outrebounding Jeff Green that is just completely unacceptable and for that reason I won't freak out if Doc leaves. He really puts up with a lot and rewards players who aren't giving their best effort and I find that maddening. How Sheed found any playing time whatsoever still bothers me. 
I think we learned the answer to whether we are better with or without Rondo. We found some players that give hope for an ok foundation for the future. I'm modestly optimistic

It wasn't a satisfying season for sure. When you combine the records of the playoffs with our regular season, we actually lost more games than we won.

I pretty much knew we were going to go down to NY before the series started. I wasn't very optimistic. I felt like if we played Celtic ball, we could have surprised them, but I wasn't counting on that. We were out-manned and we looked broke down and old. In some ways, it was just plain sad to watch. If we would have lost 4-0, I would have chose Very disappointed. I thought we were going to have more fight than what we did.

Games 4,5 and 6 did a lot though. I did see some of that old Celtic toughness and grit that I love so much. They did give a great effort in the end. I ended up being proud of them. Results wise, it was disappointing. But I chose slightly satisfied because the fact we delivered a scare for a day or two was more than I expected.

I'm curious just like everybody, how we go into next season. Right now, my optimism is low.

I like how we didn't quit as a team when all the injuries went down so I am slightly satisfied with this season.

However, John Carroll led a Ricky Davis, Jiri Welsch team to 36 wins. We won 5 more games than that team and I believe we were still 100x more talented than that team.

Heck, Jim O'Brien's last full season with the C's won 44 games and a playoff series.

I would say that this team underachieved in the playoffs while the 2010 team which made the Finals overachieved by a long shot.

So Doc plays Sheed so as not to play small ball, which I think we can both agree just about 95% of the people on Celticsblog hate,  and the result is, according to you, rewarding a player with playing time that didn't deserve it due to lack of effort. So Doc screwed up.

But Doc is given a team where clearly the best players played in the playoffs and deserved the playing time this year, but it so happens that those best players created a need to play small ball. So Doc screwed up.

I am beginning to think, Doc has a tough job.

I was disappointed with Rondo and Barbosa's, and oddly enough the deepest by Sullinger's. I was encouraged by Green's growth, I was discouraged by Bradley's utter lack of offensive growth, and Lee's eventual failure.

I was proud of Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. I couldn't overstate that.

The year was a disappointment, moreso than any year Garnett has been here before. It is also bittersweet, because if KG and Pierce really played their last year in green, I wish they'd had a Viking Funeral, not a first round exit.

I thought we would contend. What I learned instead is that this team is on a marked decline and now we have to make a decision on Pierce and that has consequences on KG, Doc, and probably for several other players.
