Memphis is NOT even playing Ed Davis!!  They could use the JET's offense in Memphis with Gay gone!!  Daye just makes the dollars work!!

Jason Terry won't get that much value back in a trade.

Memphis giving up way too much. Unfortunately.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Ed Davis should be on our short list for potential acquisitions, but as Who said, Jason Terry is not bringing that back.

It'd probably require Lee, or even Bradley.

About the best I can seeing us getting for Terry is an expiring "deadweight" contract.

Yeah, I would probably do that. Ed Davis for Courtney Lee. I think that is fair trade for both sides but Ed Davis seems to get valued quite highly by many people so maybe Memphis turns down that offer too.

PF - Jared Sullinger, Ed Davis
C  - Kevin Garnett, FA signing (T.Mozgov)

That would give the team more interior defense and rebounding. More physical play in the paint. Two big bodied players (Sully, Mozgov) and two skinny quick defensive bigs (KG, Ed Davis).

I think in order for Memphis to bite on this we might have to include a first, which I would be fine doing, because Davis is probably better than anyone we would get at 16

I would love that big-man rotation. Rebounds galore!

agree, a first would probably have to be included.  If they'd take Lee and a first for Davis I'd take that all day and twice on Sunday.  Don't see Memphis biting on that.  They'd probably ask for AB as well which i'd have to get something else in return like their first rounder (preferable next year's or 2015)

He was playing 10-20 minutes a night, so I guess that's something

I suspect the Grizzlies would like to keep Davis around and see if he develops into a solid starter who might end up replacing an aging Zach Randolph in the line-up in a couple of years.

If the Griz want to keep him and develop him, they need to play him.  Me thinks that Davis is in Hollins' dog house.
