With our buddy Flip Saunders now in Minny, I think we can deal with them!!

This works on realgm.com:

http://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/6258632

Minny has an up and comer in Williams to replace AK47.  They will have a healthier Rubio and Barea backing him up.

I posted this in another thread, but couldn't find where:-((  Sorry, but I would like some more feedback on this proposal.

This makes some sense for both teams.  Minny needs a veteran scorer.  They would be a potential playoff team with Love back, Pek re-signed, Derrick Williams, and a healthy Rubio, with PP.

Thoughts??

Fills a couple needs but is greatly undervaluing Pierce's importance to the Celtics.

I posted this in your "lost thread" but I'd rather try and get Williams than Ridnour, that way you could try and use some combination of Bass/Williams/Lee/Terry/Bradley to bring in an upgrade at sg. That would make for a pretty solid team.

Not a bad deal. You're getting 3 decent players in return for Pierce. I am actually not sure Minny does it, but if they did, I'd be all for it.

A younger small forward, decent backup center and decent point guard for old man Pierce?

Sign me up.

what's in it for us?  3 more role players that aren't even really good role players.  I don't see the point of this trade

The point is to trade Pierce's name value and get 3 decent players in return.

Sorry, but the question I am going to start asking on this board ALOT is...did you see Paul Pierce's playoff performance this year??

We'd be lucky if we could get Marc Blount in exchange for Pierce because he played so badly

Do not like the trade.

If you move Pierce, it should be for rebuilding.

The only rebuilding piece is a backup C.

It would be kind of **** move to deal Pierce to a non contending team.

For the sake of agrument let's say we would move him to Minnesota. I would want Pekovic instead of AK-47
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Actually, I think there are worse teams than Minnesota. The team of Kevin Love, Pierce and Rubio could be decent.

Paul Pierce has made more than $150 million from the C's. I am not really concerned with where Pierce gets traded. I don't think Kirilenko is worth trading for so I wouldn't make the deal.

Yeah, if you're moving Pierce it has to be for young uself pieces.

Not a backup C who isn't all that young, a backup PG who's older, and AK-47.

Kirilenko is a +16.11 Efficiency Rating, which is higher than PP's 14.50 in the playoffs!!!!  AK47 also just turned 32 in February and PP will be 36 in October, about when the regular season begins!!!

Who is the last true pure back-up PG Rondo has had?? Especially one with an 11.63 Efficiency Rating like Ridhour???

I hate to type this, but Stiemsma has a 6.66 Efficiency Rating and he had a poor overall year.  He knows our system and Doc knows him and seems to trust him!!!

I'd rather just trade some combination of Lee, Crawford, and Melo for Ridnour and Stiemsma. Offer up a swap of 2013 1st rounders if necessary.
