What do you guys think of him? He really helped the nets this year.

He had a PER of 21.98

Here are his stats (Per 36)

He could play the bench role or start if KG leaves. He's always had talent, but been known as a bit of a head case. Surprisingly, I didn't hear of much problems while he was at NY. Maybe he has his mind right now.  Either way, Doc is known for managing personalities, he could probably keep Blatche on the right path. This would definitely help KG if he decides to come back.

What do you guys think? I think we could get him for potentially MLE cash based on his past issues. He only played for the minimum this year with the Nets.

Rondo
Bradley
Green
Sully
Blatche

Is a pretty decent team. Contender? Probably not, but it can definitely be in the playoffs. I guess it depends on the direction you want to go, if you want to blow it up and rebuild or not. That's a very solid core though.

I would only be willing to give Blatche a one year deal.

I would consider him for the MLE for one year. He would give KG a strong backup.

Sounds good to me. Assuming KG returns  :-\ Which probably won't happen if Pierce leaves. And we won't be able to use the full MLE if both stay since we're almost at the apron.

Surprisingly, I didn't hear of much problems while he was at NY.

Well, you did have the woman who said she was sexually assaulted in Blatche's hotel suite.  While she said Blatche didn't participate, she said he peeked into the room a few times.  No charges may have been filed because the witness was reported to be very drunk, but I have read unconfirmed reports of a date-rape drug being found and pictures on Blatche's cell phone.

Of course, Fab Melo had domestic violence issues, so maybe that wouldn't be a problem for the Celtics.

Blatche [and his agent] would be dumb to take a one-year deal. If anything, he wants job security. He wants a multi-year.

I have strong concern about Blatche getting fat if he gets a big multi-year deal.

I'd give it to him. If Avery Johnson and PJ Carlesimo could straighten him out, surely Doc can. He could be an absolute steal.

I would have and did call for Blatche as a free agent signing last year.

Too late to get him as a bargain now.

He's probably due for the full MLE now over years. Maybe more.
