This is why I believed in these Celtics when most gave up.

Hats off to this year's Celtics team. Rondo out with torn ACL. Barbosa out with torn ACL. Sullinger out with a bad back. Three players from China on your team to fill out your bench.

Yet they fought. They came out with two prideful old dogs in Pierce & Garnett, half-a-heart-but-turning-into-an-amazing-player Green, a defense oriented guard who always dribbles with his right hand in Bradley who shouldn't be running any offense, and Mr. Bass (with a little Terry cockiness off the bench). Yet they fought.

Love my Celtics.

I don't think "most gave up" ... I didn't, and most of the fans I know personally didn't. I think you're selling "most" Celtics fans short.

A quick glimpse at most of the threads when the Celtics were down 3-0 would show you that MOST on here did give up. I even made a feel good thread then to show that I still Believed in this team and will always believe in them.

You may of not gave up and many others as well, but I def. am not selling short a lot of the fans on here who turned against this team.

Just because the people who didn't give up weren't posting in the game thread doesn't mean they aren't out there.  I didn't give up either, and I was too busy screaming at the TV and cheering them on to post.

And more power to you. This thread is for all of us who want to take a moment & applaud the hard work/effort that this team did for us. So many players played out of position:

Bradley: SG playing PG
Pierce:  SF playing SF
Green:   SF playing SF
Bass:    PF playing PF
Garnett: PF playing C
Terry:   SG playing PG
Crawford: SG playing PG

And then all the different lineups that this team was forced into.  Just a great effort and great season.

Just a toungue in cheek suggestion here ... the Celtics Talk Forum could be split into two boards. One board called "Celtic Pride" for all the positive members to post in, and a second board called "The Sky is Falling" for all the negative nellies.

Ah, the good old days. I remember when the Legion of Doom was strong here. There were a few rebel holdouts, though.

I didn't see a lot of it, but I'll also take your word for it, cuz I haven't been around as much as usual of late, (and they certainly know who they are, eh?).

TP for the positivity and pride ... you are a core member of a great group - Celtic "believers".
