  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
The moment I joined this forum, I noticed that you love making threads  ;D.

Anyways, ever since Gallinari got injured, I knew the Nuggets were going to struggle.

Gallinari is above average on defense, and is able to provide a lot of floor spacing, and open looks due to the threat of his offensive capabilities, and his long range jumpers.

If the Nuggets advance, then there would be large amount of speculation going on if the Nuggets could be a contender without a superstar.

The Nuggets have always done well this year, but are struggling against containing and locking down the open 3's from Curry, and being able to get the stops needed.

I just see the Nuggets really struggling overall on the defensive end. The Warriors are just getting a lot of good open looks, or just driving in the paint without anything stopping them.

They need a top notch big man. Either a PF (to replace Faried) or a C.

Yup a veteran big man who can give them the experience factor. Iggy was a good move for them, but could he be trade bait to net something else? Especially with a guy like Chandler in there. The Nuggets have some good potential.

They need a Gold Medal Superstar type player to really compete (or at least another Silver Medal Superstar).  I'm not sure how they can acquire that player, but they have a lot of young pieces and tradeable assets to at least be in the contention for one.  They also really need a scorer.  A guy like Monta Ellis, actually makes a lot of sense for them.  I think Kevin Love would be a good fit as well and they may have the assets to get him.

Ellis for Chandler & Mozgov

Love, Roy for Iggy, Chandler, Koufos, 2013 1st
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Could they potentially work out some kind of trade involving Faried and Aldridge?

Aldridge is a very good player and pretty young, but Portland may be more interested in handing the team over to Lilliard.

Faried + W. Chandler + Anthony Randolph + Jordan Hamilton for Aldridge?

Lawson/Miller
Iguodala/Fournier/Miller
Gallinari/Iguodala
Aldridge
Koufos/McGee

Ugh to Monta Ellis.  I'm not sure he's really made any team better that he's been on.

I'd only want him on my team in a Lou Williams / Jamal Crawford kind of role.  Around 25 minutes a night as the focal point of the bench offense.

The topic was put into Celticstalk originally, I've moved it to our around the NBA subforum. Of course shaking your head at a simple misplaced topic is taking things too seriously.

Lets get back on topic.

with a great coach and players

They don't have a great coach, they have a horrible one.  They should fire George Karl and get someone better.

Karl is a top five coach in the league.
