I love this core too much to let them go. This will be my team when I'm old and gray. THE HEART OF A CHAMPION!

That's how I feel.  Win or lose, I love watching this team play.  I don't see what the rush is to end the KG / Pierce era.

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
As long as they're willing to play, they should be Celtics. Trust me the alternative is not desirable.

Tonight was a marvelous, unexpected gift of a game.  So good that it almost redeems the season by itself.

I really hesitate to be the negative nancy here, because I know I'm one of the people who does it all too often around here.  But I think this is exactly the sort of really nice, heartwarming game that can get you to hold on too long to a good thing for nostalgia's sake.

Right now, I'm honestly thinking the opposite.  The Celtics are making a series of this and going out swinging.  That would make it much easier to swallow if they end up moving onto the next era next season.

This game is awesome, but it doesn't change the big picture at all.  But again, tonight all of us Celtics fans have every right to revel in this.  Screw the future.  Tonight, I'm proud to be a fan of this team.

This team exemplifies what Celtic Pride is about ... I would love to see KG and Truth stick around.

Warriors on the floor ... they define it.

I'm as proud of these guys as I was of Bird and McHale ... never thought I'd be saying that.

Oh, just some heartless Edited for profanity.  Please do not do it again.s who think winning in any way is better than winning with style, heart and integrity.

I;'d rather lose with Rondo than win with Dwight. Maybe that makes me a shmuck but at least it is something I can endorse, which means a lot more to me.

Like I said to my Laker fan friend the other day, the way the two teams responded to being down 3-0 exemplifies why the Cs are the best franchise in the league.

Exactly. Let's think about next season next season.

For what it's worth, the Inside the NBA crew (Shaq and Chuck especially) are gushing over the C's on the Rockets Thunder halftime show. Love it.

The most positive issue today was good managing of the 4rth quarter keep the advantge of 8-10 points and hard work on rebounding.

Read Jackie McMullen's story on KG the other day and my reaction was 'give it a rest'.  KG is still an all star caliber player and the one guy who gives us a chance because of his defense.  I hope he plays 2 more years.

KG and PP are here next year, with Rondo, Sully, Green, Bradley and a retooled periphery team. Green will lead the team in scoring, and Sully in rebounding. T-Will should stick around too, given that he's lottery talent on the cheap, and a solid option at back up PG and wing defense. Another big must emerge or be brought in to take the load off of KG.

I'm similarly tired of Jackie and her "Oh, KG hurts and he might retire" bit. He can still be effective in short minutes for however long he wants.

When you are 100 years old, leading the league in rebounding in the playoffs... you are not only a great player, you have a strong mind and will! No matter what happens, KG shows that heart is bigger than talent (even though he has lots of that too)!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)
